It is an extension of my masters thesis project


Career information

Brief history since leaving University

(November 2010 – January 2011)
• Worked as a Research Technician in the Infection and Immunity lab. Involved in projects
dealing with the elucidation of function of different components of the Type 6 Secretion
System of Gram Negative bacteria, Burkholderia cenocepacia. Projects were supervised by
Dr Mark Thomas.

Where do I see myself in the future?

After completion of my PhD, I seek to gain more research experience as a post-doctoral fellow either in my current working group or some other lab carrying out similar research. I see myself employed at an academic institution (university or research institute) as a staff scientist heading my own research group.
