About the job

Main responsibilities

Pre-clinical research:
On a team for ‘hair regeneration group’, collaborating on research regarding hair growth using mouse animal model. Have been trained performing various molecular biology techniques, so I'm quite good at doing experiments.

Clinical research:
1. IRB submission administrative work.
2. study coordination - contact volunteer patients and help schedule their appointments.

Typical day

Lab experiments, reading, IRB administration.

Why did this area of work appeal to me?

Great flexibility! I can arrange schedule myself and it's quite rare to work at out-of-hour.

Skills/qualifications I use in my job?

Molecular biotechnology.
GCP.

Brief history since leaving University

NOV 2016 - Present.
Research assistant at the Taipei Veteran General Hospital.

Where do I see myself in the future?

I will be applying a PhD next summer if I fail the graduate-entry medicine exam.
