Graduate case studies
It seemed like a perfect fit - I can apply my engineering background to biology and learn more about molecular mechanisms of disease. Also, I continue working in cancer research (my master thesis was focused around cancer and metastasis).
-Plan and perform scientific experiments
-Outreach (present my work, attend conferences/seminars)
-Applying for PhD fellowships (07/2018-09/2018)
-Waiting for start of my PhD fellowship (10/2018-12/2018)
-Working as Research Assistant/PhD fellow (01/2019-currently)
I am focused on finishing my PhD fellowship and we will see what happens after that.
Most importantly find work-life balance. At the same time be goal-oriented, don't give up too easily, stay proactive and apply for positions before your graduation.
