About the job

Main responsibilities

Managing all marketing and communication: from strategy & budgets to execution of digital marketing plans or writing press releases.

Typical day

- Development strategies for:
1. Branding (POS materials, job/industry fairs, mailings)
2. Digital (Social Media, Ads, websites & Analytics)
3. Communication (internal comms, PR, CSR).
4. Data driven recruitment (digital talent & data analytics)
- Managing budgets & targets
- Liaising with Sales and HR teams
- Reporting to CEO and managing directors

What do I enjoy about my job?

Career information

Brief history since leaving University

After Sheffield, I have studied in London MA in Mass Communication. I graduated in 2012 and then left for Belgium.
2012-2013 = VF Europe, Warranty Administrator
2013-2015 = Ford, communication, marketing and events officer
2015-2017 = Altran, communication manager
2017- now = TEC Alliance, marketing & communication manager

Where do I see myself in the future?

Marketing director.


Advice to students

My piece of advice to students

That its a difficult field to enter, bad hours, small paycheck. If you are into writing and video, you can easily go for a job in communications too.
