Even though many of our graduates will have progressed in their careers since completing a case study, they are still of interest to students who wish to gain an understanding of the world of work.

About the job

Main responsibilities

I am a social science teacher for 12 to 19 year olds.

Typical day

I teach students about politics, law, sociology, diversity and our welfare state.

What do I enjoy about my job?

Working with children and seeing them see the world in a different way.

Career information

Brief history since leaving University

2011 Graduation University of sheffield.
2012 Unemployed/worked in customer service.
2013 Started a teaching degree in the Netherlands.
2014 Started teaching.

Where do I see myself in the future?

Teaching and preferably also working on education policy.


Advice to students

My piece of advice to students

Make sure you know what to do next, before picking an MA. It's a rather useless degree without knowledge about the future.
