Even though many of our graduates will have progressed in their careers since completing a case study, they are still of interest to students who wish to gain an understanding of the world of work.

About the job

Main responsibilities

Discussing the client's core message and target audience;
Brainstorming visual and copy ideas with other members of the creative team;
Writing and presenting a few options to clients;
Modifying copy until the client is satisfied;
Overseeing the production phase.

Typical day

Reading briefs, researching a client and their brand messaging, writing copy for: adverts, social media, websites, brand books etc

What do I enjoy about my job?

Creative freedom (to some extent, obviously I must bear a brief in mind)

Challenging aspects

Writing copy that is exciting to read whilst still fitting a client's (sometimes strict) brief.

Advice to students

My piece of advice to students

Do as many internships as you can during second year. You have the time to do a couple weeks of unpaid work if necessary, just to put it on your CV. If you have any passions, pursue them whilst you have the time!
