Even though many of our graduates will have progressed in their careers since completing a case study, they are still of interest to students who wish to gain an understanding of the world of work.

Main responsibilities include:
- overall financial responsibility of the Group
- this encompasses finance, legal, HR and IT
- working as part of the management team to carry out strategic objectives
- direct reporting to Board of Directors

Typical day would involve:
6am - rise and check emails from overseas subsidiaries
7am - arrive in office get a cup of coffee before the day commences
8am - sit down with finance team to discuss any issues and updates on projects
9am - chat with CEO to assess what needs to be done in terms of Board reporting (monthly and quarterly)
11:30am - quick lunch
2pm - usually have meetings allocated to afternoon whether that be with banks, funders, auditors, advisors etc
6pm - finish for the day and head home

Very mentally stimulating and challenging

I am ACA qualified so the skills I developed when gaining this qualification are put to practice everyday such as financial analysis and strategic thinking
