I manage the public relations for the Royal Society

Typical day

I work at the oldest scientific academy in continuous existence, where I raise the international profile of science and promote its value in modern life. As well as writing about new research, I work on issues related to diversity in science, immigration policy, public engagement, research funding and supporting industry & innovation.


Career information

Brief history since leaving University

I did a Masters at Sheffield in Science Communication. I then got an Assistant level Communications role at the Society for Endocrinology in Bristol, working on medical research topics related to obesity, fertility and toxicology.

Where do I see myself in the future?

No idea, depends on the outcome of Brexit
