Systems Engineer working on various clients projects.

Mainly focus on initial concepts and assessment of a new project.

Its a consultancy - each day is very different

Challenging aspects

A new project can be about anything - most of the work I see I have never studied before

Variety of work, can be technically challenging

Training I receive as part of my job

Ongoing short training courses, but mostly learn on the job.

I am not on a Grad Scheme, so its proper work.

Advice to students

My piece of advice to students

Do an internship / summer placement. I got paid amazing money and got a fantastic job with the company I did my placement with.
