About the job

Main responsibilities

Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Carry out research to generate impact that will raise the University profile.

Typical day

Preparation of teaching materials, supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students, writing technical reports for project sponsors, preparing technical proposal for future projects, writing technical journals.

What do I enjoy about my job?

Discovery of new knowledge and providing new solutions to various applications.

Challenging aspects

Managing the work load, quality control of research output, and managing documentations of work done.

Why did this area of work appeal to me?

Freedom to carry out research.

Brief history since leaving University

I have worked as a post doctoral research after my PhD before joining the University as an academic in 2003.
