Even though many of our graduates will have progressed in their careers since completing a case study, they are still of interest to students who wish to gain an understanding of the world of work.

About the job

Main responsibilities

Client and case management, business development, management of more junior members of the team.

Typical day

Get in at 7.30 am, check through emails and legal press, try and get as many of the more menial jobs done before 9am when the office gets busy and phone starts ringing!
Deal with a range of legal enquiries and matters throughout the day, mainly on the corporate, commercial or banking side.

What do I enjoy about my job?

The people I work with and learning new skills and legal information.

Advice to students

My piece of advice to students

Law has become an increasingly difficult marketplace and I would encourage anyone who wanted to have a career in law to think very carefully and to gain lots of work experience and try to obtain other skills which will help them stand out from the crowd.
