About the job

Main responsibilities

My home department is Marketing and therefore most of my main responsibilities are within this team. The responsibilities vary depending on my project, but usually include factors such as: Data validation, brand work, market research and event organisation.

However, as a graduate at Gripple you are also enrolled into other programs with responsibilities such as a position in the Gripple Foundation and the Ambassador program. This leads to a wide array of responsibilities inside and outside of the workplace!

Typical day

This question is hard to answer as this can change daily! There is always something happening at Gripple which means there can be a change in activities but it's also exciting. At the moment I am involved in a data validation project for marketing collateral, therefore, recently my day to day activities have included: research, presenting data and feedback sessions.

What do I enjoy about my job?

I really enjoy the environment and atmosphere of the workplace. We are encouraged to collaborate and help each other when needed and this has really helped me to settle into the company.

Career information

Brief history since leaving University

In the summer between my second and final year at university I completed a 3 month marketing internship. I accepted my Graduate position at Gripple in the February of my final year at university and joined the team in September.

Where do I see myself in the future?

My Graduate scheme is mapped out until November 2024, with the aim to progress into a permanent position in early 2025. I'm really excited to see where my career with Gripple takes me in the future.

I would also love to work abroad and hope that my career involves this in the future.

Advice to students

My piece of advice to students

In terms of marketing, I would advise students to not be intimidated by a lack of industry background. Before my interview I had little awareness of the construction and manufacturing industry, and in the short term it would have felt much more comfortable to look for marketing jobs in sectors that I had knowledge of and more of an obvious interest in. However, Gripple has provided me with a wealth of knowledge about the industry and has also widened my skillset.
