I source stories, plan interviews, and write stories.


Career information

Brief history since leaving University

I gained a 2:1 in my degree and then took a course at News Associates in Manchester to get my NCTJ accreditation in Journalism. I was news editor at Forge Press for two years while I was at Sheffield and have continued to write for a wide range of publications throughout my whole career.

Where do I see myself in the future?

I want to work part-time for a reputable publication and spend the rest of my time freelancing.


Advice to students

My piece of advice to students

Work hard and use your initiative by looking for stories everywhere. Also join Forge Press, it is a fantastic experience and you learn a lot.
