Graduate case studies
I always enjoyed academia. Back in Sheffield I had the chance to be involved in teaching as part of the School of Law so eventually a couple of years later I wanted to pursue this path further.
I teach a legal course to fashion and design students.
Immediately after graduating from Sheffield University I obtained a master degree at Queen Mary University of London (LLM in Intellectual Property Law). After that I spent a year at the Boards of Appeal at the European Union Intellectual Property Office, which was followed by a year in private practice in a German law firm. Then, I moved to Milan to pursue my doctoral degree.
Firstly, I hope to obtain my PhD degree in the next two years. After that I would be pursuing a position in academia as this is the type of work I mostly enjoy. I also hope to publish more in the future as this seems to be something I also particularly like. I have so far published a few articles, but bigger projects are something I always strive for.
Law is a fascinating field despite the many hours spent in the library. It makes you very open minded and it is a good stepping stone for any career, not just in the legal field.
