Day to day operations, including finance, promotion, marketing at FiscardoStudios. Head developer at JiggyCode

Incoming reservation enquiry response, guest allocation, technical services. Website/app development and deployment, support.

What do I enjoy about my job?

Meeting new people and engaging in new industry trends.

Challenging aspects

Handling finances and allocating resources to renovations. At JiggyCode, learning new technologies and applications.

Why did this area of work appeal to me?

After 4 years of working in the IT industry I decided to invest in the tourism industry. At JiggyCode I also have projects focused on the tourism industry (websites mainly)

Skills/qualifications I use in my job?

All the technical skills used in software engineering can be applied in many aspects of my work. Mostly in planning and allocating resources.


Career information

Brief history since leaving University

4 years as a software engineer at Intracom IT Services, one of the largest IT vendors in Greece at the time. One year time out and then started my current job.

Where do I see myself in the future?

I see myself investing more in holiday rentals as it is my main source of income.


Advice to students

My piece of advice to students

I would advise that they keep an open mind, and that whatever they have studied can be applied in more areas than one.
