Even though many of our graduates will have progressed in their careers since completing a case study, they are still of interest to students who wish to gain an understanding of the world of work.

About the job

Main responsibilities

As part of the university's External Relations department, I work to engage different levels of government and community partners on issues importance to the university.

Typical day

I work with all faculty and university service units to support their work.

What do I enjoy about my job?

I love working to support the goals of an institution who's values are in line with my own.

Why did this area of work appeal to me?

My experience studying in the School of East Asian Studies made me really interested in issues related to post-secondary education.


Career information

Brief history since leaving University

Since graduating in 2008, I have gained experience working in government as a policy analyst studying education in British Columbia and worked closely with both community and government partners related to post-secondary education.

Where do I see myself in the future?

I would like to continue to help the university achieve its objectives over the coming years.
