Main responsibilities

Carrying out tests and optimise vehicle performance parameters for new projects like Crossrail for London.

Typical day

Acoustic testing, weighing of trains and also analysing data on MS Excel.

What do I enjoy about my job?

That no two days are the same and there is a variety of work to be done.

Challenging aspects

Understanding the causes of variation in test data obtained is challenging.

Why did this area of work appeal to me?

It's very much hands on work.

Skills/qualifications I use in my job?

Report writing skills and analytical thinking carries you a long way.

Brief history since leaving University

None as this was my first job.

Where do I see myself in the future?

Work at Bombadier for 5 years, and then to an Ivy League college for MBA.
