Teaching staff

Typical day

From Sunday to Wednesday, I teach Grammar to the first years of the Engineering department, I also teach Phonology and Grammar to the second year students in the English Department. I then teach the third year of the English Department essay skills and I take the fourth year students for Language Testing.

What do I enjoy about my job?

I enjoy helping students learn English as their second language.

Challenging aspects

Helping them to achieve the language and develop their language.

Why did this area of work appeal to me?

Because I graduated from the English department

Skills/qualifications I use in my job?

All the skills, and the most advanced and up-to-date methodology.

Training I receive as part of my job

Teaching Training Course, teaching IELTS preparation, Teaching Turkish language.

Brief history since leaving University

Qualification of Legal Translator among the three languages (Kurdish, Arabic, and English)

Publishing two papers at Koya University about the Problem of Kurdish Students in Achieving English as Foreign Language

Work at three different universities (Koya University , Sulaimani University , Technical College of Sulaimani).

Where do I see myself in the future?

I'd like to do a PhD
