About the job

Main responsibilities

A proprietary process is developed wherein SVF was isolated from the aqueous fractions of digested lipoaspirates using novel filtration technology. Device development was initiated by development of the main
operational modules. Being a member of the operational and designing team for the device, I also am the only scientist to characterize the SVF obtained at cell & molecular biology level. This include the Cells composition characterization, to test Angiogenic potential, gene expression, stemness ability, viability and troubleshoot various components related to functioning of device. I am also initiating the pre-clinical studies for fat engraftment. I believe SVF is a powerful medicine and plays an important role in regenerative medicine.

Why did this area of work appeal to me?

The possibility of contributing for others betterment has always fascinated me. Bio-Medicine is such platform, where i am allowed to think beyond the usual facts of medicine.

Skills/qualifications I use in my job?

Leadership, Biological techniques, and convincing my PI that i am doing the right thing, even if its unorthodox sometimes.

My piece of advice to students

think creative with biological concepts. And don't be afraid to be honest. It is of huge advantage to speak you mind out during interviews and meetings.
