Main responsibilities

Conduct formal safety assessments and loss prevention studies

Typical day

Continue with whicever study I'm assigned with and complete it within the deadline. Attend project weekly progress meetings and internal / external discussions if any.

What do I enjoy about my job?

Interacting with multiple engineering disciplines as well as the client and learning what they do.

Challenging aspects

Ensuring that all mandatory codes and standards have been complied with and that all assessments are sufficiently detailed to have covered every aspect.

Why did this area of work appeal to me?

I was fortunate in that it was one of the vacancies available at that time.

Training I receive as part of my job

Training for the various topics and software training.

Lead Safety and Risk Engineer.
