Main responsibilities

Writing the PLC code for control system.
Designing the HMI (human machine interface)
Design of the PLC layout and control panel layout

What do I enjoy about my job?

I get to travel a lot around the world and the job is never repetitive

Challenging aspects

No two jobs are the same so there is always some new and challenging problem to overcome.

Why did this area of work appeal to me?

Friends and family work at the company and the potential for a high salary

Skills/qualifications I use in my job?

An understanding virtual basic code and ladder logic.
PID controls play a big role.

Training I receive as part of my job

Offshore safety training.


Career information

Brief history since leaving University

I interned at HPI while i was at university. I have worked for them since.

I took 2012 off to travel the world and was fortunate enough to return to HPI after.

Where do I see myself in the future?

Project Management.
