Advice to students

My piece of advice to students

Extra curricular activities are important. You will learn skills and things that are not taught in classes. Be pro-active and willing to embrace and take on challenges.

If two people with the same academic results go for the same job, experience and skills developed from external activities are the deciding factor.

In any job or activity you will have the opportunity to learn. There are always transferable skills or experience in any activity.

Start to watch the job market early in university life, explore the opportunities available and search for something that suits yourself.

Best to do summer/year out placement during your time at university. Work experience in a related field is invaluable.
